Wordpress Search filter to remove possible script injections oh yeah, also there is no reason why someone on my website would want or need to search for script injections so i would rather just prevent those words altogether. If Wordpress already has this type of defense then its probably a false positive we are getting from the results of our security scan. |

Wordpress Search filter to remove possible script injections thanks for the reply. We had a security scan from a 3rd party source done on our website and the results indicate that the scrip injection is actually reaching the database. Perhaps this is also a false positive. I don't see the js execute, but it does return a page with all of our blog posts listed on it, which I thought was odd. I'd rather it be completely denied and show a 404 page or an error page. Anyway to get it to do that in this case? |

Why am i getting this error? WordPress database error: [Query was empty] Well obviously, we don't want the website to get hacked. I don't see how to use "prepare" though. Like i said i fiddled with your code, but it didnt work - it kept giving me an error. I will come back to this and tighten up the security. |

Why am i getting this error? WordPress database error: [Query was empty] I tried what you supplied and it gave more information then what I had before, but it still didnt work. It told me that i had an error with my MySQL statement. I did figure out how to get that to work though, but I am not using $wpdb->prepare. I just made my array and use a regular sql INSERT INTO statement. I trigger it with $wpdb->query($sql); -- Thanks for the help! |
