Hmmmm, ok well their host actually has a backup, so I'm attempting to use that. Fingers crossed.

A plugin needed an update, but we couldn't login or access the site at all, so that's why I meant to go in an empty out just the active_plugins row, but deleted it altogether on accident.

comment Disable Linked Gallery Images If Mobile Browser
Ok, directly into the template page then. I was trying that as well, but I will keep playing with it, and see what I can come up with. Thank you.

Well I'm just using the gallery shortcode to display native wordpress gallery thumbnails in my theme. Then of course, you click the thumbs and are taken to the large version. I was just hoping that I could prevent the loading/downloading of the big images if a mobile user clicks on the thumbs. It's not completely necessary for my mobile users to see the full size image. Thumbs are fine for them. Oh, maybe just tossing your provided code into the functions file isn't right?

Hmmmm, well what you added to the code is correct, I'm sure, but the gallery thumbnails are still clickable when testing on a smartphone. I do have a huge list of user agents in my functions file, and I actually am using is_mobile in another section to completely hide something, and it works to hide it when testing on the phone. So, I guess the code from the question I referenced could be wrong now? Thanks so much for your reply by the way!

Very nice. Thank you for adding this to my question! Just so I'm clear though. Is this another way to do exactly the same thing, or does this actually make the images responsive to their containers as well? Because I ended up adding width="100%" at the end of the img link in my template. Not exactly the best I guess, but it works.

Like something similar to what apostl3pol recommended on this question: stackoverflow.com/questions/16120819/… Although, I did try his method, and my featured image thumbs disappear, but something similar like what he was suggesting, maybe?

Well, if I'm using get_the_thumbnail in my theme, how would I apply Interchange to that? They use it like this: "<img src="small.jpg" data-interchange="[small.jpg, (only screen and (min-width: 1px))], [small.jpg, (only screen and (min-width: 768px))], [medium.jpg, (only screen and (min-width: 1280px))]">" , I would need to use that but along with get_the_thumbnail. Is there some way, conditionally, that I could call a different size thumbnail for each media query?

comment Define width of featured image thumbnails, but also make responsive?
I guess I should of phrased my question differently. I'm actually going for an adaptive type of thing with the featured images. Depending on what the width of the browser is, WP would serve up a different size. I tried what apostl3pol answered this question with, but no images will show when they are being called within jquery. stackoverflow.com/questions/16120819/…
