Milo, do you know how can I print a variable located in the plugin file in this new column?

You'r right! I found a function that was causing the error. Now the error is gone, but the admin message still not appear. My debug file show this error: "PHP Warning: call_user_func_array() [<a href='function.call-user-func-array'>function.call-user-func-array</a>]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, 'on_activation' was given in /home/..."

Sure. This is the second function (render_plugins_column). The first function (add_plugins_column) creates the column "version". I'll post a answer with the actual code.

I replace the echoes to returns, but get the same error message. =(

I already tried this, but doesn't work for me. My function looks like this: function render_plugins_column( $column ) { switch ($column) { case "version": echo $plugin_data['Version']; break; }} add_action( 'manage_plugins_custom_column' , 'render_plugins_column', 10, 3 );

Thanks Milo! Your code works great! Just one more question: How can I show a plugin header information like version in this column?

Well I'm not a programmer, but I can see that your code really makes sense. I changed the "if (!$confirmed)" to "if (!in_array(FILE, $plugins))" and place my error message inside the function wpse65190_on_activation_note as you describe, but I'm getting a message "The plugin generated x characters of unexpected output"... What's wrong? =)
