comment Issue using wp-load.php in WordPress Plugin Development
People use this to include the loader of WordPress, to get all functionalities of WordPress. If the file is exist on this folder and the include works, then can you use all functionalities of WordPress, like outside the installation of WordPress.

comment Admin: global $post empty
That is not easy to answer. Have you check with the Plugin Debug Objects? Also see this source AS example, very often I check the screen values - github.com/bueltge/Archive/blob/master/archive.php

If is undefined, then was include via wrong hook.

Reduce the globals. Use the function get_current_screen(). You find inside the array of the result of this function the page, the post type and more. Small hint, easy to find with plugin "Debug Objects".

comment WordPress Plugin Boilerplate - add_action hook in static “activate” function
Your method activate() was init via the Register_activation_hook. This was fired only in activation oft the Plugin. Add the Source of this Methode in the constructor or method than run on init the class.

comment Auto remove empty values in array
Why do you usearray_map(). The functions for post meta, like delete_post_meta(), works with serialized data.

comment Which is the recommended method to transfer a wordpress site to wordpress Multisite?
At first create a new installation, switch to Multisite and then import the export file from the "old" single installation to one site of the network.

comment Auto remove empty values in array
Right, do the same on update_post_meta() and/or add_post_meta(). If is empty, then don't save in the database and if empty, then delete this post meta - if ( empty( $brands[0][$x] ) ) { delete_post_meta() }

Solid is the export in WP back end via xml and import on the new site in the MU network.

Check for the value var $brands[0][$x], like if ( ! empty( $brands[0][$x] ) ) { echo ... } that you only lists input fields with non empty value.
