comment Automattic's eCommerce Plugin
Appreciate the detective work... maybe they will open source it one day, but I know how expensive e-commerce development can be and wouldn't blame the Automattic if they considered it part of their competitive advantage.

comment Is there a Wordpress version that is incompatible with PHP 5.3?
Currently considering an upgrade from PHP 5.2.x to PHP 5.3.x on my server, but it's true, there are relatively few reports of users' experiences running WordPress 3.3 on this version. Would also like to hear from anyone that has been brave enough to use it in a production environment. More concerned with errors being thrown by the WP core and default themes, not so much with plugins.

comment On Install, which code sets the 'home' option?
No need for an apology, it's a testament to your helpfulness. Unfortunately, my hardware seems to dislike Notepad++. Editing three characters in a MySQL dump of a single (but large -- 60MB) WordPress table, took about an hour while my (fairly well equiped) PC struggled to open and save the bytes.

comment On Install, which code sets the 'home' option?
@t3los -- There's not much room for improvement on your answer. Would you care to share any of the tools you used to look up this information? Maybe you did it manually, but I'm wondering if you have any tricks up your sleeve... Maybe it's worth it to figure out how to use phpdoc? Thanks in advance!

+1 for Rarst and the others currently listed here... There are two other contributors who have offered some great insights into various WP development issues, toscho and hakre. I'd encourage both to consider nominating themselves for a Moderator position.

comment How to: Easily Move a WordPress Install from Development to Production?
Not sure if this is it, but there is a WP Engine plugin which is used for site migration across hosts. It's called Snapshot (Direct link).

comment Taking WordPress table prefixes into account
In case someone is looking for the table prefix variable, here are a couple of ways to access it: (i) $wpdb->prefix within the global $wpdb scope and (ii) with the $table_prefix variable.
