comment SSH Failure - Error connecting to server
What are the permissions on the .ssh directory? Not the files, but the dir itself.

comment SSH Failure - Error connecting to server
When you say The /.ssh/id_rsa and id_rsa.pub have permissions user:www-data 050, does that mean that the username is www-data, or is it user=user, group=www-data?

comment get_term_by works but get_terms doesn't?
Can you please edit your question to add in the code that wasn't working? That might help figure out exactly what was going on.

Every site in a Multisite installation is a separate site with its own set of taxonomies. This sounds like the expected behaviour.

comment Wordpress Rest API
The whole point to the API is to be able to use WordPress content w/o needing to load all of WordPress. Presumably you have a WordPress site at http://easterly.haamap.com/ that you're trying to pull data from -- correct?

Can you please edit your question to indicate what version of the REST API you're using (v1, v2, or the version bundled with WordPress 4.4)? Thanks.

What happens if you use console.log( 'error' ); when you get an error? When I try to GET a bogus REST URL, it gives me back a JSON object along these lines: {"code":"rest_no_route","message":"No route was found matching the URL and request method","data":{"status":404}} (which is basically a JSONified WP_Error object).

comment Create a Wordpress shortcode using PHP
Here's how you create a shortcode in WordPress: add_shortcode()‌. You can add the code to your theme's functions.php file or else make a plugin for it.

comment Why a class property becomes empty?
It might help to see the code in your handleForm() function, but I suspect it's because the template_redirect action hook doesn't pass any variables.

I've updated my answer to use the $_POST data. Note that this does no sanitization or validation.

Have a read of this -- gravityhelp.com/documentation/article/using-dynamic-population -- and then use the Populate this field dynamically checkbox on the field's Advanced tab.

comment WP REST API - reading custom post type
Are you using the REST API plugin or the one that's bundled into WP version 4.4? If the plugin, what version?

comment Broken theme crashed my site, unable to install new theme
@leftspun: Do you have a way to upload files to your server aside from trying to do it from the WordPress wp-admin screens? Are you able, for example, to use ftp example.com or ssh example.com to connect to your server? Your problem with uploading themes looks like a permission problem; if you can connect to your server (especially via ssh), you might be able to set proper permissions to allow uploads.

Are you able to get FTP or shell access to your site's machine?
