I'm a geek, married to a geek, born of a geek. I love working on WordPress sites and finding cool new stuff on the internets.

comment Div around YouTube video
Hmm... maybe try just embedding the link to the video on YouTube ( youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=zN9mdItmoBs ) ? Put it on its own line and make sure it's not linked anywhere (plaintext without an anchor link). Then when you publish the video will appear in the post. See here: demo.friendlyweb.us/test (you can log in with demo/demo to see how it looks in the page itself).

How are you embedding the object? This may only work for the oembed method where you put the plaintext YouTube URL in the content on its own line and it auto-converts to an embedded object...?

comment multiple query to match post title and custom field and category
You might try using the Advanced Custom Fields plugin's "relationship" field type. With it you could directly associate each Work custom post type with a published Director custom post type. This code would be used for the query/display: advancedcustomfields.com/resources/field-types/relationship

You could check out this plugin if you want an alternate way to display any widget in page/post content: wordpress.org/plugins/amr-shortcode-any-widget

comment Single template will not show sidebar/bottom-nav and footer
I believe get_sidebar() should be outside the loop - meaning move it after the endwhile;. Have you tried that?

comment Order post by date with ACF
That's possible though slightly more complicated (and a different question than what you asked above). First I'd get it showing all your posts ordered by your date field. Then post that code in a new question and ask how to limit the display by date range.

comment Increase search results for Admin -> Appearance -> Menus -> Search (default is 10)
Still, good enough for a temporary fix (just to get the menus established) if you're setting up nav for a site with hundreds of pages. The search functionality really doesn't work well and paginating through the 'View All' can take ages. Thanks John!
