comment FB like adds WordPress install screen text to the wall
If it shows right info in Lint tool, then I guess the problem must have been solved by now :)

comment How do I check if I linked to a post before I delete it?
+1 for a great question. Idea would be to scan post content of all the posts but it can be a pain for a big site having a large no of posts. I would do it by saving a serialized array of links of a post in its postmeta (for new & for existing) and then query this meta info from postmeta table and scan through and return a arry of post IDs which link to the post being deleted. You can either halt it or make it to take whatever action you want.

comment Moving the blog page
you don't need to select any custom template or page template. Try creating a new page and select that as a blog page in settings. Don't use any code or anything else.

Just for the sake of mentioning it, this problem creep in again and I don't know how it was resolved if it even was.

Yeah! I thought there is some other way to make sure it doesn't miss anything or misbehave somehow like in some recommended way. Should I just do it anywhere in the functions.php or it would be better to do it on a hook like init? I think as soon as it is before the usage, it doesn't make a difference, right? Regarding multisite $wpdb->custom will itself adapt to the blog ID or I have to do that somehow? and how?

Can you please elaborate a bit on how to add custom table names to $wpdb object? Good point for multisite, and I think using the wpdb object for storing names will remove the multisite issue too. Right?

comment Delete all user attachments
It can be done by hooking on to the hook for deleting the user, where we would fetch the attachment IDs and then call wp delete attachment for each of them. If there are quite a good number of images per user, a direct query would be better in terms of performance.

what about the posts to which they were attached? or the posts which the author wrote? any connection in between them?

comment Making some links generated from the wp_nav-menu function unclickeable?
if you have to change how WP do something, then only it can be called WP related. If you are looking for a CSS/JS fix, stackoverflow.com might be better. Check my answer (js) to see if that does what you need.

ok I think I have got it working, will post an answer soon. I need to study your question what behavior do you exactly want it to do on various pages.

what you want can be achieved by modifying the query to exclude a particular category but I am not sure of the code to modify it, it will probably be 4-5 lines
