@willow Use locate_template() and load_template(), Here is a code sample on how you can do that - codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/load_template

comment How to get image name, mime type, width, height, file size from post custom field?
The question is not about how to get custom fields data but rather getting data about the image.

comment How do you allow plugins to be updated using the GUI without breaking your subversion repository?
Like Otto says production vs. dev/testing management, I handle everything via repo. I walk along the line of having the whole app in repo, so that repo's checkout is actually capable of running off the install. I don't upgrade things from WP admin side (I disable the power if needed), and things work just perfect with GIT. Never ran into an issue with this, cuz it becomes equivalent of uploading files manually, and everything fires correctly.

Gotcha! It works well with GIT since there is only a single .git folder in repo root. And yes "Production" in meant to be run by a repo checkout for ease.

@TomAuger So much for being a developer & just saying "doesn't work" instead of actually stating the issue.

@TomAuger I work with the above mentioned process all the time and it WORKS!

comment Control Custom Post Type template from a plugin
@StephenHarris Kicking in the filter only when needed makes more sense to me here, and I find this a lot cleaner. Consider if you have lot of stuff going on, it would be better to just have a function which kicks in or kicks out certain things all from one place. And this also makes sure if a certain content is processed a large no of times, it doesn't go under the filter call just to check if it should do anything or not. A bit of performance gain too. And you can reuse filters in a better way this way, because filter just filters, and not judge conditions :)

I upvoted it earlier because your answer explains thing a bit but it didn't solve the issue at that time, so didn't accept it.

comment Disable WordPress cache programmatically on a request
I am working on a mobile theme plugin, so need to make sure that it gets served directly, without affecting the main site. This seems like the way out unless both plugins support caching mobile pages in someway?

@kaiser I wasn't manually redirecting here. Just letting the function know that it should redirect. I guess the function would be doing / is supposed to exit() after redirecting, but I didn't check the source when I had this issue.

comment Fall Back Google CDN in JavaScript
@ChipBennett I know the concern raised on using the core bundled version when issues came up when some premium themes were replacing it, but I hope you know what bleeding edge is. I am not talking about non-techie consumers here, but developers. So Yes! Having a fallback is the best way. I know what runs in my site. When you talk about normal audience, don't assume that people like me are included.
