comment Use pre_get_posts to display search results by meta in specific order
The text field does present some difficulty. I wasn't given an specific list, so I opted to keep it freeform.

Thanks for that. The hierarchy shouldn't change. The metabox for title is a simple text field. One option I'm considered is setting orderby to menu_order and letting the user control order via the admin post menu with drag and drop.

The meta key order can be removed. It was there for initial testing. I'll look into modifying direct SQL calls.

comment Custom Post Type by Taxonomy
I need a template that lists all the professionals of an office. So if I click on the austin office, I want the user to be taken to page that lists the professionals for just that office.

If you echo get_the_id(), are the numbers the same?

comment Insert/sticky multiple posts in multiple positions
That's what I was doing, but I can see that I can just splice the posts in with the id's I already have.

I was using that to grab the correct id's. Are you suggesting I can use the id's already stored in $fixed_posts ?

comment pre_get_posts returns non property object when using posts__not_in
You are correct. It disables category pagination when doing so. I'll have to troubleshoot another fix.

Turns out I was over thinking it. A simple set_query_var( 'offset', 1 ); did the trick. Thanks.
