Stop Wordpress removing <script> tags when switching from HTML to Visual (TinyMCE) Woah there Mr Nowell. So we're not allowed to ask how to extend Wordpress? We're not allowed to dig deep and see what the system is capable of? Knowledge is power my friend, and I want to know the limitations as well as the abilities. I can make my own security decisions very well - and like I said, I'm currently the only person with admin access to the system. If somebody did manage to gain access to my login details, whats to stop them from installing plugins such as PHP-Exec, or something similar, regardless of the ability to add javascript into the post which in my opinion is less worrying |

Stop Wordpress removing <script> tags when switching from HTML to Visual (TinyMCE) I've replied to my initial post above with my main requirement for this. Currently there is only myself with admin access to the site. Regardless of the security concerns, I would just like to know whether it is possible to do this - which looking at this answer it seems it might. |

Stop Wordpress removing <script> tags when switching from HTML to Visual (TinyMCE) Hi, the main reason for wanting to do this is because on a few sites I run, I commonly insert Google Adsense code within the body of posts. The CPC is much greater this way, and I often experiment with different ads. The pages that have the Adsense JS code are often edited in Visual mode, and it is such a pain that I have to constantly copy and paste the JS code back in when it gets removed. I appreciate the security concerns, but then if my login was breached then it opens up much more problems than just JS issues - the very nature of the breach itself would be a massive problem. |
