comment Check category_name or taxonomy slug for a Custom Post Type?
Wondering - could it be that in this case, "Apples" is a child of "Product"?

Thanks Vancoder I've tried numerous options and still it is not filtering as I would expect it. Admittdely I normally set these CPTs manually but this time I wanted to see how the Custom Post Type UI plugin would work for me so I used this to create the CPT. I have since moved the function into the functions.php (in the EDIT above) and added a screenshot of my dashboard for the products. I've used examples out of both those links you sent me and neither have done the trick.

comment WP eCommerce Product Gallery not working
Thanks everyone, I will go ask there. In the past it has been excruciating to get any kind of support out of them on their forums.

Not quite following? What I meant is that everything is working but the connection from Localhost to load pages is quite slow. Is there some way to speed this up? I have tried the URL as well as the IP address to the DB but both options have been slow.

Hi Eric. On a new project now and tested this. It works super well but really slow. Is there a way to speed it up perhaps?

@fischi if I use 'compare' => 'LIKE', then I get results. I hope this is good enough to use. :)

@RRikesh I've added another EDIT above..thanks for all the responses so far. I will have a look at the var_dump( $loop->request ); option next.
