comment Subsite migration across servers including all media and links
just import your database (not using the import option, although it should work if you import attachments as well, assuming the other site is still alive) and it will refrence your files in the upload/ folder

comment Edit a different page in WP Customizer
yes Otto, after playing with it for more time I achieved it, however don't remember what was wrong because I just tried different things until it worked. Either way, my main concern was the 2nd part (loading a certain page directly) which I achieved by adding a link on admin bar

Shazzad, this is absolutely perfect, you should have added it as an answer so I could have accepted it. If you do it, I'll accept it anyway, many thanx! :)

comment Edit a different page in WP Customizer
I have added a link to admin bar in order to load the page I want to edit, like this: domain.com/dashboard/customize.php?url=/store/products to see if this helps in any way, but nevertheless, it loads the main page, so I'm totally lost here

Quite frankly I don't understand most of what you say, but why don't you try wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-custom-fields ? It's really easy and powerful

seriously, if you understand the question and say "it's done all the time" I assume you have all the info needed. Thank you for your efforts and down votes tho, I'm looking for help on a legit question and thought this is a Q&A site, not a literature forum

comment Is it possible to add the_post_thumbnail to style.css?
(continues from above) and every time I need to do a change I need to change both CSS and templates, so I was wondering if there was a simpler way to do this with not as much fuss as this

comment Is it possible to add the_post_thumbnail to style.css?
Yes Rahil, I was aware of that and it's similar to what I'm doing now, but this option would get only one version of the thumb. What I have is different sizes: 1 for desktop, 1 for ipad, 1 for mobile. If it was some static image, I could easily separate the styles like desktop--> background:imagedesktop.jpg ; ipad--> background:imageipad.jpg ; desktop--> background:imageipad.jpg (and yes, I know this is not proper code, just explaining the logic). My current solution implies to add the code in the header based on screen size, but it's not elegant nor handy at all

comment Is it possible to add the_post_thumbnail to style.css?
of course, I understand that. My question would be if there's a way to do it via PHP, some kind of code that replaces that part in css since css doesn't accept php code. Something like using <?php the post_thumbnail('whatever'); ?> only that in a css file ( not necessarily a css file, maybe using pure php in the header, or JQuery or whatever)

hey Rick, here's the issue: you have 2 pagination systems at the same time. One is internal, the other is for pagenavi. So, what you have to do is open pagination.php and replace everything from lines 25 to 35 with the pagenavi code. That should work (although you should make a backup first) . If you still have issues, try using wp-paginate plugin (see it at wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-paginate ), it's easier and less buggy than wp-pagenavi
