Can I prevent “wp_user_level” from getting added to wp_usermeta on registration? I disagree that 20,000 unnecessary rows are insignificant. We're experiencing instability due to the size of some of our tables and removing unused rows has been helping. Whether the rows in question are actually unnecessary is another matter. Sounds like they are necessary for backwards compatibility reasons. If we aren't installing any new plugins/3rd party code, is there any harm in removing them? |

Prevent Wordpress from automatically correcting URLs What else does it do? I did a quick search and I couldn't find any documentation. |

Emails not getting delivered to Hotmail addresses @s_ha_dum I think you're too quick to say that it's entirely unrelated to Wordpress. Yes, clearly Hotmail is ultimately filtering it, but their system isn't random and something about the form of the email dispatched by Wordpress (or something about my server) is triggering their filters. The question is what? Preliminary research indicates that something about the Wordpress emails are "malformed". Given this fact, and that this sort of thing is a known problem for many Wordpress site owners, I think it is appropriate to ask here. |

How to do get_users() with multiple meta_keys I'm having trouble getting this to work with the 'NOT EXISTS' operator as the value of 'compare'. If I want to return all users that DON'T have a specific key, should this work? array('key'=>'some_key','compare'=>'NOT EXISTS') |

wp_new_user_notification() takes 5-10 seconds to run I solved that issue. It was a mistake on my part. wp_mail() works again. But it's super slow unless I turn off SMTP mail plugin. We were using gmail to power our mail, and it would be best if we could keep doing so. |

wp_new_user_notification() takes 5-10 seconds to run I'm testing with wp_mail() in a template file and wp_mail() in my plugin and the first works fine, but the second doesn't. Do you have any idea why that would be? |

wp_new_user_notification() takes 5-10 seconds to run Updated the question with my test result. When I call wp_new_user_notification(2) it's 2 seconds, but the email doesn't arrive, so something is fishy. |

wp_new_user_notification() takes 5-10 seconds to run Good idea. Can you suggest other functions that send emails? I'm not very familiar with this part of the core. |
