Also, code is comments is definitely hard to read, but you said I needed to be more specific. Didn't know how to do both.

Sorry, I have my excluded category array in there, but do not know how to determine the taxonomy name or if it's built into the categories. How do I determine one or both of those?

Putting the following in the sidebar, I see nothing output: if ( function_exists( 'get_related_posts' ) ) { $related_posts = get_related_posts( 'my_taxonomy_name', // Taxonomy name, if build in, in should be 'category' [1, 2, 3] // Array of terms to exclude ); if ( $related_posts ) { foreach ( $related_posts as $post ) { setup_postdata( $post ); // Use your template tags and html mark up as normal like the_title(); the_content(); // etc etc } wp_reset_postdata(); } }

Function makes sense. Thanks, but I'm not getting any output using the default if statements you used above.

comment How to show postmeta in custom columns for the posts screen?
New to this.. I just had the code in my original question in my theme's functions.php. Do I have to call the function somewhere within the wp-admin subdir as well?

Simply changing those action/filter names lines, I get a slew of errors on the edit.php screen, starting with: Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function 'custom_posts_table_head' not found or invalid function name in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs-lenovo-health-wp/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 213

comment Using Different wp_nav_menu theme_location based on page id (or a parent id)
Works great @TheDeadMedic. But now have another feature enhancement. In the template, output, I want to echo an h3 with the value of the secondary level page (the subnav you helped with is the tertiary level). Is there a simple way to do that?
