comment Allow guests to save favourite pages?
I appreciate this something some sites provide, but isn't it just recreating existing browser functionality? I never saw the point much in that - although that might just be me.

You could just use MailChimp for the mailing part. That's free for up to 2000 emails. Alternative might be Campaign Monitor, but that's not free. Both might have wordpress plugins to help integration.

I just saw your own comment above. You can check for the post type by using the get_post_type() function: codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_post_type

In fact the hover menu works when you turn off Javascript. There's something with the superfish script or CSS that is breaking it.

I guess if you set them both to "localhost"; that should do the trick. If that doesn't work take a look at this: codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL You can also define these in the wp-config.php file.

You need to look in wp_options. There's two options: "siteurl" and "home". The first is the setting for "'WordPress address (URL)" and latter for "'Site address (URL)" which is a little counter intuitive, but see here: codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_bloginfo
