As listed in the OP, I have been googling the answer hence my posting up here for more solutions.

added some more info as to the error that is actually coming up according to the log. I am looking for a way to sort out what is going on independent of the plugin.

That does work, but the plugin that sorts out my logging in has horrendous support for the price I am paying for it, and on top of that the code is hashed, so I can't trying and find out the problem there. Do you know of a ways to try and sort it out via WP?

comment Change order that the menu is generated with wp_list_pages
I edited the post to link to the page in question. The "main menu" is done with wp_nav_menu and it includes the child pages. I want to echo those child pages in accordance with the order set out in the menu order.

possibly, I don't want it to be a "page menu" it's essentially a glorified breadcrumbs only it point's "forward"

comment Step through wordpress code
Not really what I was looking for. I was looking for something that is roughly equivalent to microsoft.com/visualstudio/en-us/products/2010-editions/… (Microsoft Visual Web Developer)as the plugin I am making for my client is largely independent of wordpress so I wanted to run it on a line by line basis.

comment jQuery conflict
the jquery breaks whenever I use the wp_enqueue_script tag. I know this is not best practice, but it works as opposed to what should work. For some reason wp_enqueue_script get's called too far down even when I set priority 1 so it breaks the js on my site.

comment add_action in a function, is it possible?
I have the script, it's just a "loose" bit of code that I want to put on to show and hide divs based on a check box so I don't need to enqueue all the scripts, just place it on the page when that particular function is called.

as I said, I couldn't find the noConflict in a search all on my theme. there is no call for wp_enqueue_script('jquery') outside the one in the op. here is a link to my header.php file pastebin.com/AX0EM0tz
