comment javascript errors on mobile browser, not on desktop
uhm... is a production site and my collegues are using it to do their job right now. I usually do tests on local, but I don't know how to simulate a mobile environment then. I'll try. Hwr the number of plugins installed it's really minimal: Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades, Filters, ManageWP - Worker, Members, Pods, WordPress Twitter Bootstrap CSS, WPide.

speaking of the devil, I just moved the git submodules and now wp-less is not working anymore, with a require_once() not found error. I double checked the path and is correct... who knows... Ok this was off topic.

Ok, but I have no idea of where the problem could be. there are no other redirects in my function.php! The theme code is here btw github.com/bakaburg1/Overseer

read my answer below. the problem was that I had to embed 'template_redirect' into 'init' to make it work properly!

yep that's my purpose! Mmmm apparently you code is the same as mine but with the !is_admin included in the first statement! and if someone is not logged in you allow him to stay in the front end! You're right that if someone is not logged cannot access backend. So i want to try this: if(!is_admin) wp_redirect(admin_url()); that would do it I hope.

but it does! 'eppur si muove' quoting someone... :) the various console messages are shot in backend! Anyway, without digging into the problem, which could be the right hook to run that code?

redirecting not logged in user is the only thing that works :) in the backend. It doesn't work in the front end.

I made the same question in stackoverflow and a guy told me that even in the ajax call all the plugins are run again. is that true?

your list is valid for the first page load and in that situation you got a point. But I was referring to sequential calls using ajax instead of reloading the page, for example for pagination or in web apps (ok, don't take in count the SEO stuff)
