I am using jquery to load the pages into my blog. They slide in. In order to do this, I have to put them in an un ordered list and each page the slides in will have to have this custom structure.
I have 7 pages that follow that link structure. I used the custom links in the WordPress navigation menu to make the links instead of hard coding it into the navigation via a custom walker. I thought it would be easier. So my problem is that I don't want the blog to be loaded into the homepage. so I used the standard link for the blog page so the address for the blog page would look like this
where as the link for the about page would look like this http://www.mydomain.com/#!/page_about_us
So now, when I visit the blog page. I found that the links were off. They no longer had the custom structure that I assigned them in the menu from the admin area. The blog page would be fine and the navigation does add the correct custom structure, but it also won't get rid of the previous address. So when I am on the blog page. instead of seeing this
I am using a custom walker for the navigation so that it will add the html markup that is needed for my dropdown menu. I have removed the custom walker and tried default WordPress but I still end up with the same issue.
here is the custom walker I am using I have commented out the code that I tried to use to fix my issue. It starts on line 44 http://pastebin.com/uux34EFe
