WordPress Answers is a question and answer site for WordPress developers and administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I often end up referencing several previous blog posts in new ones I write.

However, only the first shows as a pingback in the admin dashboard.

If I update the new post, the next pingback will appear.

For just two or three references, publishing and then doing a couple quick "empty" updates is not a big deal. But if a given post back-references, say, 5 or 8 or more other posts, that workaround becomes intensely boring and seems like it shouldn't be necessary.

How can I get WordPress to handle multiple pingbacks in a single entry properly?
