WordPress Development Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for WordPress developers and administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

When i try to add a local link (toward my own pages) on some text in my post, the AJAX function run indefinitely and didn't find anything. I've opened my browser's console and i've saw the following error : mysite.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php respond with a Internal Server Error.

But I never modified this file or core files in general. Is it a known bug or whatever ?

How do you specify the link? Can we see what you're trying anywhere live? –  t f Mar 11 '13 at 17:01

I can't post images (not enough reputation). It's when you open the popup to add links on specified text in my post (second last button at first line of tinymce editor) –  Romibuzi Mar 11 '13 at 17:08

Yes, well, what did you write into the input dialog for the link? I'm a bit confused, because as far as I know there is no ajax involved on the front-end - and you're talking about an ordinary link... What about the live site? Can you give us the URL? When/Where do you get the error? –  t f Mar 11 '13 at 17:15

I finally found the problem, i used a depreciated function in my functions.php which caused many problems with wp_tiny_mce editor in my back office :

wp_tiny_mce(false, array(
    'mode' => 'exact',
    'elements' => 'tw',
    'height' => 200,
    'plugins' => 'inlinepopups,wpdialogs,wplink,media,wpeditimage,wpgallery,paste,tabfocus',
    'convert_newlines_to_brs' => true
));

This function is depreciated since WP 3.3.

Use wp_editor instead : http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_editor
