I am using Buddypress in conjunction with WordPress, both of which are in their latest versions (1.6.4 and 3.5.1 as of now), and I keep the community aspect of it private with the plugin "Buddypress Private Community." This has been helpful to block pages and redirect registered users on login, but the generated pages for Members and Groups cause a white screen instead of redirecting to /landing-page?on_login_redir_to="/groups" as expected. However, this works for the activity stream, which is also dynamically generated. Is it this line of code in bp-groups/members-loader.php that is causing the issue?

if ( !defined( 'ABSPATH' ) ) exit;

I haven't the slightest idea what ABSPATH is, knowing that would help.

ABSPATH is defined at the bottom of the wp-config.php file. It points to the root of the WordPress installation. As it's one of the first things set every WordPress load, it is useful to check against if the file is being accessed directly, as ABSPATH will not be set if someone types the URL to the plugin file directly in their browser. I doubt it's your problem here, though.

Thanks for the explanation. Still looking for my problem here though...it seems to work with older versions of bp, wonder what changed... – Ethan Lee Feb 18 '13 at 19:12
