WordPress Development Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for WordPress developers and administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

My theme is pulling in the post titles so there are duplicates on all the pages and a product title and link on the catalog page (I think it may be pulling the last one entered). Is there any way to remove the titles from Woocommerce so it doesn't mess with the titles on my non shop pages.

Here are screenshots (click to enlarge):

It's great that you've included images, so +1 for that, but we will need to see the code from your theme so that we can diagnose it, else it's as helpful as seeing a photo of a title appearing twice on the front door of a building. –  Tom J Nowell Jan 22 '13 at 14:20

Hi, Irene, welcome! You'll need to filter the title, be it in WP or in WC. For the later, take a look at the plugin docs. And the former, the_title and Conditional Tags. Oh, sure, or simply edit the template, as @TomJNowell is pointing out :) –  brasofilo Jan 22 '13 at 14:21

Certainly not the default behavior for WooCommerce, not even aware of a setting that would cause this. What theme are you using and what customization have you done? –  Stephen Jan 22 '13 at 15:06

This should remove the WooCommerce title from it's hook, however judging from the "Additional Information" also displaying twice, I'd say you have something else going on:

function wpa_82632(){
   remove_action( 'woocommerce_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_template_single_title', 5 );
}
add_action( 'woocommerce_single_product_summary', 'wpa_82632', 99 );
