Is there any plugin that can resize images in posts and pages? I am using 800px wide images but I would like to downsize them all to 700px as I've changed the width of the content column.

You can change the size setting in Settings -> Media and then use plugin like Force Regenerate Thumbnails to resize the images that are already uploaded.

That won't resize the images which have already been inserted into posts though. – drtanz Jan 7 at 9:07
@drtanz The plugin will resize already existing images, but yes, you will still be left with old code in the actual post content that links to the old thumbnail size. This you will have to change manually, I'm afraid. – pogoking Jan 7 at 16:43
So there is no way to resize those images in posts apparently. I can think of Timthumb as the only decent alternative. – drtanz Jan 7 at 17:24

The plugin Liquid images will output images to fit inside content body. Its used for responsive themes to properly display images on a mobile browser without going through and resizing them all. Juat ouputs them in the correct size with what ever the body calls for.

Image resize wizz v1.1 automatically resizes the pictures in posts, pages or categories to fit a maximum specified width. The pictures are not physically modified, the plugin only modifies the way the theme displays them in a post.
