WordPress Development Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for WordPress developers and administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Currently i am using the WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast.

if i activate the breadcrumbs in the plugin and set the code in my custom post type single page it is not properly displayed.

(Home > Features) instead of (Home > Features > current single feature)

i am using archive => true already and i have no idea why its acting this way. no custom hacks done just a custom post type and a clean install of wordpress and the plugin.

Also how do i tried adding a page called Features and created a template of my archive page, still the same result.

What is the best way to get this to work?

What may be better here (I figured this out after a while with that plugin) is to use Breadcrumb NavXT which will follow the complete page hierarchy (including taxonomies) down to the single-view. That ended up working much better for my use-case. Thanks.
