I'd like to post to my Wordpress blog through the Post by email feature. All emails sent via Gmail are arriving but from some other email clients they not. (Gmail is not my default client - just used for testing)

What could cause this problem? Is it possible that the email needs to be sent through SMTP with authentication?

So you have a self hosted blog with exact the same problem? If so, add the error log entries from your mail/web server to your question to make answers possible. I will reopen the question then. – toscho♦ Sep 24 '12 at 17:36
