I'd like to post to my Wordpress blog through the Post by email feature. All emails sent via Gmail are arriving but from some other email clients they not. (Gmail is not my default client - just used for testing)

What could cause this problem? Is it possible that the email needs to be sent through SMTP with authentication?

Thank you.

This post does not seem like a good fit here. Posts made here are typically programming questions related to self-hosted WordPress. Close-voted as off topic. – Joseph Leedy Sep 24 '12 at 17:19
wordpress.com questions are off topic here. Please ask their support. – toscho Sep 24 '12 at 17:22
Applies to self hosted Wordpress as well! – Michael Sep 24 '12 at 17:24
So you have a self hosted blog with exact the same problem? If so, add the error log entries from your mail/web server to your question to make answers possible. I will reopen the question then. – toscho Sep 24 '12 at 17:36
