Is there anyway to widgetize the Activity Plus plugin so I can display the post form in a widget area on my Genesis News child theme front page? I'm using the BP Sitewide Activity Widget to display the activity stream in a widget area and it has an optional post form but it doesn't display the Activity Plus buttons. I tried to copy the php from the Activity Plus plugin into the php widget (by Peplamb)but it didn't work. I also tried to use the genesis_after_header hook, to no avail. I don't know php - I just know "cut&paste." So I wasn't able to determine if there was a particular part of that php to use. Any help?

I believe there is. Hang on a sec and let me try it on my site first – Aliyah Jul 26 '12 at 21:36 you, I'm also scratching my head when it comes to the way the php for this widget is handled. I'll keep working on it and post an answer if I find one. – Aliyah Jul 26 '12 at 21:48
It looks like what we should be trying to add is the javascript interface. The plugin only adds the ability to upload to our stream. If we can find what handles the javascript uploading forms and where it is "injected" then we should be able to widgetize it – Aliyah Jul 26 '12 at 21:53
Hmm, thanks for giving it a look Aliyah – William A. Adams Jul 27 '12 at 6:26
