WordPress Answers is a question and answer site for WordPress developers and administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am looking to show 5 testimonials at a time, and have simple navigation arrows rotate to the next 5 when clicked. I'm still new to JS and jQuery and am having some trouble figuring this oneout. I assume I could create a custom post type for the testimonials, and call them on the front page. But I don't know how to only get a block of 5 show at a time, hide the remainder, and have them go through a "slider". Any suggestions on jQuery plugins or how to start coding this? I've searched through a number of plugins and haven't come up with a proper solution.

Close voted: This is a jQuery question, not a Wordpress question. Just because it is running in a Wordpress environment does not make it a Wordpress question. This question is better directed to stackoverflow. – m0r7if3r Apr 22 '12 at 21:48
"Any suggestions on jQuery plugins or how to start coding this?" Your question is too vague and isn't really directly related to WordPress; start with docs.jquery.com/Tutorials – songdogtech Apr 23 '12 at 2:30
Ok, sorry about that guys. I'll start with the tutorials and post in the respective forum if I can't find a proper solution. – chris_s Apr 23 '12 at 17:12

check this plugin out. it says "The plugin can be used for random quotes, rotating testimonials, rotating random affiliate links, or random featured posts." http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nice-quotes-rotator/

t-p, thanks for the suggestion! but I'm looking for something a bit less bulky and more customized for this one function. – chris_s Apr 22 '12 at 21:24
