I built a site for a friend using custom post types and there were no problems for several months.

Just last month, my friend did an upgrade to 3.3.1, and we've started to notice that sometimes the loop content for custom post types will disappear and reappear.

There's probably a ton of variables at work, but I wanted to isolate following:

  1. Is the disappearing and reappearing of this content a known 3.3.1 issue?

  2. Is this also possibly an issue with our webhost's PHP/MySQL service? If so, how does one test for possible errors?

We'd need to know some of these "ton of variables" to help narrow things down. What plugins are you running? How did yuo add the custom post types? Can you reliably reproduce the "randomly appearing and disappearing?" For the record,, this is not a known issue with 3.3.1, or any version of WP for that matter. – EAMann♦ Feb 22 at 17:47
