I am using WordPress 3.3.1 and Twenty Eleven 1.3. Is it possible for me to just drag my bunch of 1000x288 images into a folder and the theme will include them in the random rotation? I am very new to this WordPress stuff, so would appreciate more detailed help!

Edit: I have many images to upload and doing it one by one via the web panel would be too slow and cumbersome. If someone can point me to the right direction I would appreciate it!

This is a user support question about a core WordPress end-user feature, and would be better-directed to the official wordpress.org support forums. – Chip Bennett Feb 12 '12 at 13:33
On the other hand: if you were to ask how to register additional header images, e.g. in a Child Theme, that would be a great question. – Chip Bennett Feb 12 '12 at 13:34
Additional header images in a Child Theme? That will do fine as well! :D – CyberMew Feb 13 '12 at 14:40
In which case, answer coming shortly (unless someone beats me to it), though, it won't involve drag-and-drop. You'll have to upload them manually, and register them programmatically. – Chip Bennett Feb 13 '12 at 14:47

You can Upload images from Dashboard ( Appearance->Header ), then check random rotation and all your uploaded headers will be included.

Hi, the random radio button has already been selected, and I am using the default images for rotation. – CyberMew Feb 12 '12 at 13:02

No you have to upload them individually and then choose random.
