I mantain a plugin which is hosted on https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/indypress/

However, the plugin page still says "0.5.1". What's wrong with my plugin?

A few things, one give it some time. Another thing is you have "1.0.0" in indypress.php but "1.0" as the stable tag. Shouldn't make a difference but that very well may be the problem.

I also found that if your WordPress version is not supported for the updated plug-in, then the update doesn't appear. – Stephen Harris Feb 6 at 23:59

really...? Maybe it was just slow in updating... (a plug-in I had developed appeared on another test site, the only difference between them being the WP version) – Stephen Harris Feb 7 at 0:08
as for "waiting": it is like this since weeks. I have other plugins, which I updated in the meanwhile, and they got updated quickly. as for the 1.0.0 vs 1.0 I tried them both. I also tried setting stable tag to trunk, with no luck – boyska Feb 7 at 0:15
