is it possible to get recent 5 comments of a specific disqus-account without using the (aweful) plugin? I want to put them into a content-slider and don't find any bit of API for that!

Not sure why you think the DISQUS api is "awful". I use it myself and it seems to do the trick. I think it also stores comments in Wordpress, so you should be able to get the comments out of Wordpress directly without using the DISQUS API. |
