I've registered a custom post type called "Work" with register_post_type and registered a custom taxonomy called "Clients" and added array('category', 'post_tag', 'client', 'page-attributes') to the taxonomies for the Work type. They all show up in the sidebar menu. However, when I click "Categories" or "Clients" in the sidebar, it opens the "Posts" menu with "Categories" or nothing selected respectively. I want to have Work > Clients and Work > Categories selected in the menu. How would this be accomplished?

Figured this out. Setting the post_type to 'public' in the register_post_type options makes the menu select properly.
