How to protect my website from a spammer with dynamic IP?

Question

I am running a website based on WordPress and BuddyPress and I noticed in the background that there is a profile that sign up every time using a different email address (I don't know how they do to generate so much addresses) and single username but the IP is different each time

I would like to know how to do to block or ban indefinitely this person

Use Google's recaptcha. A wordpress plugin can be found here It will add captcha in your signup and comment form.
