I have a WordPress problem that I am completely baffled with. I have built a website for my wife's business using Serif WebPlus x 5 (I know! - don't shout at me, I'm a newbie and didn't know about WordPress then). When I did hear about WordPress I installed it and everything went relatively smoothly.

However, when I now click on the blog link on my site http://valuevisionglasses.co.uk it just flickers (as if it's re-directing, but going nowhere). This happened last Friday and as I have said I'm baffled by this. I haven't made any changes to the site using Serif and apart from another blog post - no changes either with WordPress.

I do (thank heaven) have a daily backup using EZPZ backup so if I have to go down that route then I have regular backups.

I'd be ever so grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction to solve this problem.

The blog seems to work fine... is it getting in to the admin side that you are having trouble with? – Vince Pettit Jul 25 '11 at 12:10

I am seeing the front end of your site fine, but the admin side /wp-admin is showing a 404 error.

Check http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL and make sure all the settings for the site URL are correct. If that doesn't resolve it, check with HostGator support.
