I ran an autoupgrade to WordPress to version 3.2. The status of the upgrade process reported that everything completely without a problem. However, when I navigate to either my admin or local site, I receive the error message on Chrome: 

Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://localhost:8888/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

can you please check your server logs and let us know what error they show. The error you have shown is a general chrome error. – Hameedullah Khan Jul 5 '11 at 5:13
