WordPress Development Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for WordPress developers and administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

As the title already says, I am trying to add classes on the WordPress menu item links (so not the li, but the a element). If it is possible to achieve something similar to WordPress its own function for adding classes to each li through the GUI it would be great because I need diffrent classes on each a.

Does someone know how to achieve this? do I really have to use Walker or is there something diffrent, like a simple function I can write.

Thanks

P.S. I am not looking for the build in css class screen option in WordPress, this because the html/css is build in a way it has to remain. in each a is a diffrent icon given by css classes.
