WordPress Development Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for WordPress developers and administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Currently I use wp_nav_menu to output the first and second level of the menu in the header of the page. However the menus have more depth than that and I need the third level to be shown at a different place.

I was hoping that wp_nav_menu had some kind of "level" parameter that shows only the appropriate level of the menu – but it hasn't.

Note: I'm aware of wp_list_pages, which I can't use since there are not only pages involved.
