WordPress Development Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for WordPress developers and administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I would like to either

(a) edit the tagline to include an html snippet, or

(b) add my (interactive) contact details to the header, in the same area as tagline, but aligned to other side.

I have managed to alter child header to include contact details, but its behaviour is currently controlled by css rather than js. I would ultimately like to control its behaviour with something like

jQuery( document ).ready( function() { var dwidth = jQuery( window ).width(); if ( dwidth > 1000 ) { jQuery( '.hcontact a:first-child' ).attr( 'href', '#' ); } });

based on advice from this page. I am not running that theme though - I am running twentytwelve-child, and there is no edit js in theme panel.
