WordPress Development Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for WordPress developers and administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

He's my problem: I want to have a single page that a WP-admin can build by including different parts of the site by choosing posts. (I know the admin could add these posts to a category and then display the the category page but there are some issue around user roles etc - I am exploring this option too though)

One idea is that the WP3.0 menu actually contains much of the functionality I need; elegant interface for selecting any post/page from the site and the ability to reorder these items. Is there anyway of replicating the core WP menu php files, warping it up in a plug in, and making some layout and label changes, and running this plugin along side the standard menu system?

Any advice, suggestions or problems I might encounter?

many thanks, Paul.
