WordPress Development Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for WordPress developers and administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am using Gravity Forms to create posts from the front end. I want ALL of the posts to be restricted by default to ONLY the Administrator and Association Member roles. The latter role is created using the Members plugin.

I have restricted the page I am publishing my posts to, but the individual posts need to be restricted too. Since the Form publishes the post directly (not first creating a draft) I need all posts to be restricted by default.

Thoughts?

Have you consulted Gravity Forms' support & documentation? There is a filter, for instance, called gform_post_data that might be exactly what you're looking for. –  Pat J Apr 23 at 3:12

I'm doing this in the context of using the Members plugin. I can approach GF Support, but wanted to keep this in the context of Members, if possible –  Craig Tommola May 8 at 14:48

Example 2 on the gform_post_data filter documentation page shows exactly how to set the new post's post_status to Private. You could presumably use the Members plugin to restrict viewing of Private posts to your Administrator and Association Member roles. –  Pat J May 8 at 16:21
