WordPress Development Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for WordPress developers and administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'd like to use Wordpress as a directory for Jokes and trying to come up with the best way for doing it.

I first tried one method using a post for each joke and let out the post title and just published the post in the relevant category. This method is ok but seems clunky and obviously has SEO issues due to lack of pretty URL and Post Title.

I can't think of a good way of doing this via a CPT either.

Alternatively, I thought about a hook on publishing the post to create a Post Title for something like, domain.com/jokes/jokes-about-[category]-[tags]

Failing that perhaps I could write a plugin that reads a jokes DB Table. Can anyone think of a better approach?
