WordPress Development Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for WordPress developers and administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm working on developing my first ever WordPress template. And I'm bumping into an issue that has me slightly confused.

I've created a custom menu called LaunchPointMainNav. But when I tell WP to make this my site's primary navigation, the navigation bar on the page goes totally blank.

The line that calls the navigation looks like this:

<?php wp_nav_menu( array( 'theme_location' => 'primary', 'menu_class' => 'nav-menu' ) ); ?>

I did modify functions.php so that I can have two menus. That looks like this:

    register_nav_menus( array(
        'primary' => __( 'Primary Navigation', 'twentytwelve' ),
        'secondary' => __('Secondary Navigation', 'twentytwelve')

) );

"Theme Locations" does show me that I can have a Primary and Secondary nav, so I think functions.php is OK. So I think I must be missing something in the wp_nav_menu function. If I delete my custom menu, the WordPress default menu appears, so I'm sure that the line works just fine.

HELP!
