I'm using wp_nav_menu to display a 4 level menu for a site. If the active item has no children the class current_menu_parent is applied to all parent levels and words fine. If however the active menu item is a parent item itself then the class current_menu_parent is not applied to the parent of the active child.

Any thoughts as to what might be missing?
